My idea of being "rich"

Too often people think about personal finance as just numbers.  The amount of money in your savings account, or how much/little debt owed.  Or how much is in their 401k account.

At the end of the day, money is simply a tool for life.  It is not an end in of itself.

My close friends from Texas visited this weekend.  We were able to spend time with them, eating great food, enjoying laughs and drinking a few adult beverages.  Being able to spend time with family and friends is what I call being "rich".

Money is a tool for us to get the food, the beer, and the gas for our cars to get to these places.  But money enables us to have a great weekend full of life!
