How many of us parents have overlooked a school because of the price, but maybe that's a mistake? Tuition "discounting" generally means scholarships and grants, but there's no way to know how much of a discount we would get until aid letters are sent.
On the plus side, competition for students at schools generally means students are getting more aid, making college more affordable.
