College planning - it's amazing to me that people insist on playing a game, expecting to "win" while not bothering to figure out the rules. Yes, I'm talking about college financial aid (and admissions) and yes that was a self-serving statement.
But I hear over and over how the system is confusing, unfair, and how it "screws over" hardworking kids and their middle class families. And then I hear how unfair it is when colleges don't provide a lot of financial aid to their son or daughter.
